Arrival
The Yorkshire Bridge Inn dates back to at least 1826. The building has been developed over a number of years and retains a number of original features as well as some recent additions such as the new spacious conservatory and our Bridge Room, which we utilise predominantly for residents dining. We have also converted parts of the property to offer guest accommodation and as a result there are many different levels within the Yorkshire Bridge Inn. We have tried to describe these to you below to allow you to judge if we meet your access requirements.

The Inn is accessed either via the front door or the back door.

The front car park comprises three parking spaces adjacent to the main entrance and ample parking throughout the rest of the car park. The car park is level, has a tarmac surface and is well lit from dusk onwards. There is a gentle slope to the main entrance door with no steps or ramps. At the main entrance door there is a small threshold up into the carpeted porch. From the porch there is a second door into the property, which leads onto a tiled floor with handrails to the side.

The rear car park is level, has a tarmac surface and is well lit from dusk onwards. From the rear car park to the rear entrance of the property there is a flight of 13 stone steps and an upward slope in the courtyard area. There is an upward slope to the rear entrance. Finally, there is ample level disabled parking on the roadside adjacent to our garden and clearly marked for disabled use only. There is a small fence leading to the back door. At this door there is a small threshold up into the tiled entrance hall. The hall is approximately three metres long and leads to a door which opens into the main property which is predominantly carpeted. The reception desk is immediately to the right and adjacent to one side of the bar.

We offer assistance with luggage to all our overnight guests.

If you are staying overnight with us you will need to register at the reception desk which is on ground floor level. Once you have registered we will escort you to your guestroom and will assist you with your luggage if required.

Public Areas
A range of six different seating areas is available, all offering a variety of seating including chairs with arms. The conservatory has a tiled floor, good lighting and ceiling fans. All other areas have varied levels of lighting and are carpeted with the exception of the metre immediately in front of the bar and the entrance halls, which are tiled. All of these main areas of the property are all on one level and have no steps or slopes. Whilst we do not have a mobility grading we have often been visited by wheelchair users staying or dining with able-bodied friends.

Menus are printed in large print and our staff can assist if required.
Vegetarian meals are readily available and any special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
All mobile networks have good coverage throughout the property and there is a public telephone available near the reception desk.
Background music is played throughout the bar and dining areas.

Public toilets are located in the tiled entrance hall leading to the rear door. They comprise ladies, gents and an accessible toilet that also includes a baby changing station.

Please contact us should you wish to make sure that we meet your requirements.
