Full Description: The Peak District and Derbyshire is one of the best places in the country to take to the skies and there are numerous airsports operators throughout the area who offer paragliding, hang-gliding, micro-lighting, ballooning or gliding courses, including taster sessions, from a number of sites throughout the area.

Hang-gliding and paragliding have become increasingly popular over the last few years and on summer weekends the sky around Mam Tor can be full of hang-gliders and paragliders.

Hot air balloon flights over the Peak District allow visitors to see the beauty of the National Park from a different perspective, as does the amazing Dambusters Run, a helicopter flight over the famous Derwent Valley dams.
