Home to the Dukes of Devonshire for over 400 years, Chatsworth is one of the finest country houses in England and was recently voted 'best stately home in Britain' on TV. The gardens stretch for hundreds of acres encompassing beautiful fountains, statues, gardens and a hedge maze. Also part of the Chatsworth estate are a Children's Farm, Adventure Playground and Garden Centre. The house itself is beautifully furnished and home to a massive number of art treasures, some spectacular painted ceilings and Jan Vandercaart's famous trompe l'oeil violin painting.
