Cycling in the Peak District
Introduction
The Peak District is very popular with all types of cyclists and the famous Pennine Cycleway passes through some magnificent landscapes.
A little more local, and certainly less arduous, the Upper Derwent Valley has tracks around the reservoirs and wonderful waterscape scenery, with routes for both mountain bikers and other cyclists.
The route from the Fairholmes centre up the valley following the quiet road alongside the reservoirs is a pleasant ride - and with the hire centre conveniently placed at Fairholmes Visitor Centre you don’t even need to bring your own bike!
